My Stanley's |
By Lynda Pearce (Nee Stanley)
Foreword
In
2005 I discovered that my father, Philip Stanley had
started researching his family tree. Encouraged by my husband,
I decided that I would attempt to finish what my father had started. So this site is dedicated to his memory.
The
information has been researched and compiled using Census data
back to 1841, Parish records, Original Certificates and in some
cases visits to Parish cemeteries.
Where ever possible the facts
have been checked using two sources at least.
The
project has led me to research English and French history and
many occupations.
The files are now very large and cover all my ancestors on both sides. (Stanley's & Howe's) My full trees can now be found on Ancestry.
Visits have been made to 'Record' offices, to view original documents to establish accurate information. . Many years on I am still researching and publishing information.
I have also started to publish some of the more interesting true life stories about various members of my 'tree'. The first two can be found on the next page.
Dedicated to the memory of my dad 'Philip Stanley' 1928 - 1998
